Two long-time friends are bound by a secret. When one of them starts dying of cancer, they have to make a decision on releasing the knowledge of the secret daughter. Starring Meredith Baxter, Lesley Ann Warren, and Bridget White.
This was one of the better Hallmark films I’ve seen. It’s not about romance but love between friends. I rather liked the faith that was shown in the film. One of the friends has faith in God, and it was shown wonderfully throughout the story. I also loved the storyline around family. It really showcased the love of family too. The one thing I thought was problematic was the adoption storyline. They argue about whether to tell the daughter about her adoption. While I understood the arguments, the one side they don’t go into detail about is the daughter’s side. Thus, it doesn’t tell the daughter’s story. It falls short of getting the secret out. To not tell the daughter that she was adopted or about her past makes me ill. Even with the lack of understanding about the secret, the other storylines about faith and family make this film worth the watch.
