A celebrity family chases fame, each other, and their past. Starring Julianne Moore, Mia Wasikowska, and John Cusack.
This film is the typical over-the-top David Cronenburg movie. The characters are over-the-top. The story is over-the-top. The dialogue is hilarious and ridiculous while not making much sense. The film has Cronenburg’s usual incest, kinky sex, and traumas that make these characters as crazy as they are. None of the characters have redeeming qualities. The film highlights how awful Hollywood is while giving us an over-the-top story. Other reviews give credit to the actors. I just wonder where they pull these performances out of that doesn’t become real. This film is not worth the watch.
