The Exorcist: Believer (2023) Rated R

Two girls disappear in the woods, and three days later, they emerge but don’t remember what happened during those three days. Hours after the event, the girls start having odd behavior. Starring Lafortune Joseph, Leslie Odom Jr., and Gastner Legerme.

This film is definitely below par with the Exorcist franchise. What makes the Exorcist scary is that it’s based on a semblance of reality. This film does not have any semblance of reality other than the fact that people can be possessed. It’s like the filmmakers just didn’t want anything to do with religion. Even the “Christian” couple that’s there doesn’t have any idea about typical Christian beliefs. They can’t go through the film without mentioning religion, but they do get to something. The beliefs of the “Christian” family are not any beliefs known to me. This film is not worth the watch.
