Grand Piano (2013) Rated R

Grand PianoMoments before a concert pianist performs his comeback performance he receives a message that threatens his life as will as the ones around him. Starring Elijah Wood, John Cusack, Kerry Bishé, Allen Leech, Alex Winter, Dee Wallace

The thought process of this film was interesting. Having film take place mostly on a stage while the pianist tried to save his life and his loved ones was enthralling to say the least but the characters just didn’t grab me. In fact this whole film, as a thriller wasn’t very thrilling. I couldn’t care less about who lives and who dies or even why this sniper wanted to threaten the pianist. I felt like it was a game of cat and mouse with each animal being imagined. I think the concept would have intrigued but the film falls short and I don’t know why. It’s a miss.
