Zodiac (2007) Rated R

A cartoonist in San Francisco during the 60s and 70s becomes obsessed with finding the serial killer known as Zodiac. Based on the books by Robert Graysmith. Starring  Jake Gyllenhaal, Mark Ruffalo, and Anthony Edwards.

This film is one of the better movies about the Zodiac killer. It’s a frustrating case as the killer has never been caught; although, the film brings to light the one suspect the police thought might have been the killer. Thus, the film leaves the ending just as open-ended as in real life, which is just as frustrating. The filmmakers make the right choice in going down one man’s rabbit hole with the case because there are a lot to pick from, which is why the killer has never been discovered. The actors do a fabulous job with the characters they portray as we follow the cartoonist down the rabbit hole. This film is worth the watch.
