This series brings key points in American history to life from black and white media to color. Starring Eric Meyers, Max Beesley, and Stephen Mangan.
This series takes key moments in US history that were filmed or pictured in black and white and colorizes them with the technology it has. Thus, the color is not the best and the technology to colorize doesn’t fix what’s wrong with the photos as they were taken. The series uses terminology that is mostly used in the US and isn’t a global, and I get the frustration, but that’s something you have to put up with when it’s made in the US. Granted, I’m so sorry for the other countries in the Americas. Our formal name is United States of America, and none of your countries have the distinction of land mass. So, if we shorten it, it’s not a disrespect to you. Now, back to the show; the show gives us basic facts about the history of certain events in the media from certain times. As in most of these programs, they aren’t always on point with their facts even though the show is entertaining to relive the moments that make “America.” I am not too impressed with the program but enjoyed it for what it was and seeing our past come to life is lovely. Thus, the show is worth the watch.
