Rescuing Madison (2014) Rated TV-PG

A famous singer is rescued by a fireman and a romance ensues. Starring Alona Tal, Ethan Peck, and Ted McGinley.

This is a fun romantic comedy. It has moments of unrealistic situations and doesn’t go deep into the problems that arise from a superstar dating a fireman. With that said, I rather enjoyed the story. It’s sweet and innocence, but I did struggle with the leads. Tal was wonderful as a singer with a backbone strong enough to stand up to her manager and friends. She was not the typical superstar in need of a lesson, which occurs in most of these films. That was already done in her backstory. Also, as in most of these romances, there is a lack of chemistry between Peck and Tal. Thus, the film is not worth the watch.
