Sweet Autumn (2020) Rated TV-G

Aunt Dee has left her candy shop to her niece and a maple farmer. Now they have to come together to find a common ground to work together. Starring Nikki Deloach, Andrew W. Walker, and Daina Leitold.

I do enjoy these actors in most everything I’ve seen them in. This time, however, there isn’t enough chemistry between them. You have a story that is trying too hard to show realism, to convince you that this romance could happen. If the characters were warmer to each other and allowed the chemistry to unfold naturally this could’ve been one of the better Hallmark films. Although, if the actors truly didn’t get along, this would still have been a problem. The issue about the maple farmer having maple syrup so late in the year was figured out when he commented that it’s not the season for it. The farmer wasn’t tapping during the film. I still think this film could’ve been better, making it not worth the watch.
