Royal Wedding (1951)

Rated NR

A brother and sister dance duo get a chance of lifetime to perform on the eve of Elizabeth II’s wedding. Trying not to be distracted by love they both agree not to have relationships until they both meet their matches. Will love break up their duo? Starring Fred Astaire, Jane Powell, Peter Lawford

This is a cute romantic musical. I enjoyed watching both Fred Astaire and Jane Powell do what they do best, sing and dance. Considering since Powell was not the first choice for the part and couldn’t imagine anyone else for the role. The Costumes were beautiful done with bright colors that just makes me want to have lived during the 50s. It’s a beautiful film worth a watch.

I don’t think I’ve seen this one, thanks for mentioning it! My daughter loves movies like that, so we’ll watch it together. Great reminder.
