Let Me In (2010)

Rated R

Twelve year old Owen befriends his next door neighbor, Abby. Through, the friendship he becomes more sure of himself while learning that Abby has secrets herself.

Two words–don’t bother. Watch the Swedish version of the film, Let the Right One In. It’s heads above this one. This one lacked suspense and didn’t leave anything to the imagination. May I ask … I know they have snow sometimes in New Mexico…but do they have snow that last for days and is so cold you need jackets? I felt that this was a major rip off of the Swedish film with the script but Matt Reeves, the director, lacked suspense that Tomas Alfredson griped you with. Yes, this film is a bit better than other horror films but it doesn’t hold a candle to Alfredson’s film.
