Dear Santa (2011) Rated TV-PG

A privileged woman falls for a soup kitchen owner after finding a Dear Santa letter from his daughter. Starring Amy Acker, David Haydn-Jones, and Emma Duke.

This film has so much going on that it’s hard to get to the heart of the love story. It’s a typical romantic drama. We have a privileged woman who is cut off from family funds and falls for the man who does everything to help others. There are many other storylines with the community center that make it hard to stay on track. Plus, the character of privilege changes from being spoiled to sweet in a heartbeat, making the film predictable. It’s a feel-good movie that you’ll want to love but can’t quite. It’s not worth a watch.
