In Name Only, Alec Walker is a wealthy New Yorker who meets a young widow and a relationship starts. What he doesn’t tell her is that he is in a loveless marriage and his wife has convinced his parents she is the perfect wife. Starring Carole Lombard, Cary Grant, Kay Francis, Charles Coburn
Kay Francis as the wife showed her sophistication, likeability and dark side. With Francis’ help the writing came to life. Not to say that both Cary Grant and Carole Lombard didn’t perform at the top of their game, they did. It’s a classic romantic comedy and it’s not to be missed.
