Contagion (2011)

Rated PG-13

A Global team of doctors try to stop an infectious disease before it wipes out people. Starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Tien You Chui, Josie Ho, Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, John Hawkes, Jude Law, Marion Cotillard, Kate Winslet, Jennifer Ehle, Elliott Gould, Bryan Cranston

I enjoyed this film but did feel that it did have plot holes and there was at times scenes that weren’t explained. Take the night of the robbery next door. The next day when Mitch Emhoff goes to check on the house. I didn’t see any one there and there was shots fired. Was that an empty house or what happened to the owners. Also, Mitch stole some guns from them. Why didn’t the owners use it the night before. Very confusing scene. Other than that the acting was superb, which is to be expected for the amount of top actors in the movie.

This brings me to the idea of the film, which is a world-wide epidemic. I’m still a believer that if something like this is going to happen, it’s going to happen. Nothing will stop it. Not hand washing, not eating right-nothing is going to stop it. So, why should we freak out. So the one thing this film did was get a conversation going with a little entertainment on the side.
