What to Expect When You’re Expecting (2012) Rated PG-13

Based on the book What to Expect When You’re Expecting, the film highlights several couples as they go through the ups and downs of impending parenthood. Starring Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Elizabeth Banks, Chace Crawford, Brooklyn Decker, Anna Kendrick, Matthew Morrison, Dennis Quaid, Chris Rock, Rodrigo Santoro, Joe Manganiello, Rebel Wilson

This film has an overly celebritized cast, which should have worked for this film but it didn’t. Too many celebrities, too short a time on stories. They needed to flesh out the stories and give the actors more time on-screen. I would have enjoyed it more with them going deeper into the stories, the miscarriage, the adoption and the twins. I would have also liked them to go deeper into the different issues that each pregnancy has. Of course all of this would have been a nine month film and they  wanted it down to 110 minutes. So, maybe this film shouldn’t have even been started but I would say it wasn’t a completely wasted 110 minutes. There was some heartfelt moments.
