Cloud Atlas (2012) Rated R

Cloud AtlasCloud Atlas explores how each life influences others throughout time. Starring Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, Jim Broadbent, Hugo Weaving, Jim Sturgess, Susan Sarandon, Hugh Grant

Cloud Atlas is an extremely long and boring film. Even with the amazing makeup jobs that had our leads, Tom Hanks and Halle Berry, portraying multiple characters didn’t help. The film has six different timelines that switch after every scene making it impossible to follow any one timeline. I guess I’m such a dimwit to follow the theme. With that I do praise the makeup, cinematography and how original it is but I really struggle with enjoying a film that doesn’t explain well what is going on. I might have to see it twice. If you are a fan of artsy films this film is for you.
