The Details (2011) Rated R

The DetailsJeff Lang’s choices set off a chain reaction to his life and the people around him. Starring Tobey Maguire, Gary Schwartz, José Gandara, Elizabeth Banks, Kerry Washington, Ray Liotta

This is an absurd comedy that moves from realism to cheesy and back again. I did not find it very amusing. Most of the time the things that are happening are so unrealistic you wonder what world Lang is living in. I even wonder why they made this movie and why on earth am I watching it. There is no moral people in this film every one is grey. There is no right or wrong. The only highlight to the film was Ray Liotta’s speech half way through the movie. It stopped me dead in my tracks and made me think this film can be saved. Alas, it’s not. This is a crazy romp that the viewer can’t keep up with what’s real and what’s implausible.
