Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) Rated PG-13

Captain AmericaSteve Rogers was rejected by the military finds himself involved in a top-secret military research project making him Captain America, the superhero. Starring Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, Sebastian Stan, Tommy Lee Jones, Dominic Cooper, Stanley Tucci, Samuel L. Jackson, Toby Jones

Although, I’ve enjoyed marvel’s films this one isn’t one of the best but it isn’t the worst. It’s not the typical action hero movie it’s more of a World War II drama with the added super powers. The story is deeper and not over whelming use of special effects. To me the down fall of Captain America was that it’s typically trying to be the summer blockbuster that it really isn’t. It’s more of a slow burn to the other Marvel films and doesn’t really hit it’s boiling point. While I wouldn’t call this the worst it’s definitely passable and enjoyable.
