Inside Llewyn Davis (2013) Rated R

inside llewyn davisInside Llewyn Davis takes us to 1961 where we get to follow one week in the life of Llewyn Davis, a folk singer. Starring Oscar Isaac, Carey Mulligan, Justin Timberlake, Max Casella, Adam Driver, John Goodman

I’m not surprised that this film has received, we see a splice of life among the folk singer scene in the 1960s. As with most Coen brother films this film rambles along with out much initiative. The performances are what sale this film. Oscar Isaac is becoming is becoming one of the best actors. Carey Mulligan was superb with her sweet frustrations. Even the cat’s performance struck me.  It’s cold, it’s dark, and it’s beautiful. A haunting story of an artist with a dream that’s just out of reach. This film is worth a watch.
