The Countess (2009) Rated TV-MA

The CountessA 17th century Hungarian countess becomes a serial killer of virgin girls to stay young. Based on the true story of Elizabeth Báthory. Starring Julie Delpy, Daniel Brühl, William Hurt

I agree that this isn’t historically accurate film. I believe Julie Delpy took off on the rumors that surrounded the countess. The rumors were horrific but was there any proof of the rumors. I believe where there is smoke there is fire but I also know that not every thing is what it seems.  Other than that this film is an interesting tale of a woman who goes mad and we get to follow her  down fall. The costumes were beautifully made. The time period is shown accurately. It’s an interesting film that’s more than mediocre.
