Poldark (BBC) Rated NR

PoldarkRoss Poldark returns to England after fighting in the American Revolution. Once there, he discovers his home is in disarray, with the woman he loves engaged to his cousin. Based on the Poldark novels by Winston Graham. Starring Aidan Turner, Eleanor Tomlinson, Jack Farthing

I loved Aidan Turner in the BBC version of Being Human. Seeing him embody a completely different character as Poldark only highlights his talent as an actor.  As far as the show goes, I wasn’t sure I would continue watching after the first episode, but I have succumbed once more to the compelling storytelling characteristic of BBC productions.  The pace of the show is rather fast-paced, covering the lives of the characters.  However, the cinematography is beautiful, and again, the acting can’t be beat with Turner and Eleanor Tomlinson as Demelza in the lead. This show is worth a watch.
