Period special effects and makeup and mediocre acting are all part of this film’s charm.  You may find yourself laughing at the absurdity of it, even while engaged with the compelling adventures of Perseus.  [Editor’s note:  I especially remember being enthralled with the hideous Medusa, watching this as a child.  This movie is one I never quite forgot, being the first of its kind that I experienced.]  Definitely worth the watch for its entertainment value.
