A Novel Romance (2015) Rated TV-G

novel romanceA best-selling romance author heads to Portland to help unlock a case of writer’s block. There he meets his biggest critic and falls in love. Starring Amy Acker,  Dylan Bruce, Charles S. Dutton

This movie is definitely different from most Hallmark rom-coms. The two actors, Amy Acker and Dylan Bruce, had chemistry from the start and were fun to watch as they fell in love. I loved that Bruce’s character earnestly pursued Acker’s character. She intrigued him enough that he really wanted to get to know her. What I did struggle with is the length of time he lied to her about who he was. Every chance he had to tell her I was screaming at the TV because he wouldn’t. Other than that one frustration, it is a cute Hallmark movie and worth a watch.
