A back-up quarterback is called upon to lead a Texas football team to victory when the star quarterback gets injured. Starring James Van Der Beek, Jon Voight, Paul Walker, Scott Caan, Amy Smart
This movie is a typical teen football film. It stars a number of teen heart-throbs: James Van Der Beek, Paul Walker, Amy Smart, Scott Caan, and Ali Larter. What frustrates me is the prevalence of drinking and sex among them. I understand that teenagers do engage in these behaviors, but this film took it too far. The adults don’t even blink an eye when they see their kids drunk, and the gratuitous sex was more than I could handle. This film is not worth a watch. There are better teen football films out there, like Friday Night Lights, Lucas, Remember the Titans, and When the Game Stands Tall.
