An ambitious young woman living in New York runs into her old boyfriend from summer camp, and on a whim, decides to follow him out to California in hopes of rekindling their relationship. Starring Rachel Bloom, Vincent Rodriguez III, Santino Fontana, Donna Lynne Champlin.
I think this show has real potential. It’s crazy and fun and the characters are delightful. It strikes the perfect balance as a musical comedy. The songs help to drive the plot and fit well with the story line. Rachel Bloom plays the crazy ex-girlfriend, and she really is crazy, but Bloom plays her just right, humanizing her and endearing her to the audience. This show is worth a watch.
