A nine-year-old, autistic inventor searches for the lock to a key his father left him after he died in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Based on the novel by Jonathan Safran Foer. Starring Tom Hanks, Thomas Horn, Sandra Bullock.
Horn portrays Oskar Schell as a young boy dealing with the death of his father. His performance is compelling, as he adeptly captures his character’s grief within the confines of his autism. Although the story line is merely adequate, the film will take you on an emotional roller coaster ride as Oskar searches for the elusive lock, so be sure to watch with Kleenex. This film is worthy of a watch.
