Bridge of Spies (2015) Rated PG-13

Bridge of SpiesDuring the Cold War, a New York lawyer is recruited to defend a Soviet spy in court. This leads to him helping the CIA exchange the spy for an American pilot. Based on true events. Starring  Mark Rylance, Domenick Lombardozzi, Victor Verhaeghe, Tom Hanks, Alan Alda, Amy Ryan, Jesse Plemons.

You can’t go wrong with a powerhouse duo like Hanks and director Steven Spielberg.  Add in some fantastic cinematography that makes you feel like you stepped right into 1957, and this film is nearly perfect.  Hanks plays the conflicted, patriotic lawyer who negotiates the exchange, even while desiring for the spy to have a fair trial.  Don’t miss this film; it is worth a watch.
