Gangster Squad (2013) Rated R

In 1949, Los Angeles is run by gangsters. To end the corruption, a team of cops take down the leader and work for peace in the city. Starring Sean Penn, Holt McCallany, Wade Williams, Josh Brolin.

There are great reviews out there about this film, but I have to say I was not fond of this movie. This film is shot like it would be an intriguing period piece, but it did not impress me. The script is unoriginal, and the characters don’t have any depth. The film uses slow motion, but it is still hard to tell what is going on, and who is involved in the action. A lackluster film that failed to hold my attention, this movie is a pass.
