Waking Sleeping Beauty (2009) Rated PG

waking sleeping beauty The story of Disney Animation’s Renaissance years from 1984-1994. Starring Don Hahn, Ron Clements, Peter Schneider, Roy Edward Disney, Michael Eisner, Jeffrey Katzenberg.

This documentary used archived interviews and footage to tell the story of how the Disney Animation made it’s comeback, going from pen and paper to computers in bringing Walt Disney Animation back to life.  This wondrous decade brought together the perfect storm of people and ideas to create some of the finest Disney films ever.  The movie doesn’t delve too deeply into the stresses and conflicts through which this great animation rebirth took place, but no matter.  In the end, most of the projects became part of the overall success of Disney Animation.  This movie is worth a watch.
