How to Be Single (2016) Rated R

How to be singleA group of women are learning the art of being single. Starring Dakota Johnson, Rebel Wilson, Leslie Mann, Damon Wayans Jr.

There were so many problems with this film. First, the movie fails to explain how and why these ladies are single.  We are just supposed to jump right into their current single status.  Also, there are several jumps in time which we are not adequately prepared for, and it is difficult to know how long they last or what the purpose for them is.

What I did love about the movie were the individual story lines; none of them involved drunken hookups, which was a pleasant surprise.  I also liked how they highlighted the best part about being single by the end.  However, even with these positives, making this a better film than I expected, it is still not worth a watch.  Ultimately, it is a pass.
