A Puerto Rican family living in Chicago may be having their Christmas together. Starring Alfred Molina, Elizabeth Peña, Freddy Rodríguez, John Leguizamo, Debra Messing.
This movie was a loud mess. I think the filmmakers were going for the stereotypical Puerto Rican family, but I think they lost what could have been a wonderful showcase to a nationality. There were family members who didn’t have green cards or even papers, and they were proud of it. A lot of issues with this film had to do with the script. It was a silly mess that made no sense and showed little respect for Puerto Ricans. This film is not worth a watch.
