The Sons of Mistletoe (2001) Rated NR

Sons of MistletoeWhen the benefactor of a boys’ home dies, the home is in danger of closing. Starring Roma Downey, George Newbern, Scott Terra, Doris Roberts.

Get out the Kleenex; this movie is a tear jerker. It’s the story of a daughter who inherits her father’s boys’ home but doesn’t share his love for it, threatening it’s demise.

The chemistry between the actors is wonderful.  The boys at the home seem to genuinely like each other, which is great to see.  And, the director of the home is played by Newbern, one of my favorite actors. He puts his heart on the line for those boys, and it tugs at our heartstrings to see it.  For a heart-warming holiday movie, this one is worth a watch.
