The Benchwarmers (2006) Rated PG-13

The BenchwarmersTo make up for their missed opportunity as kids, three grown guys create a baseball team and compete against children. Starring Rob Schneider, David Spade, Jon Heder, Jon Lovitz, Craig Kilborn, Molly Sims, Tim Meadows.

I’m usually not a fan of this type of comedy, but this movie had some redeeming value to it.  Here is a group of men who grew up being picked on.  They want to prove to themselves and others that they can be part of the team.  We see how both the bullies and the bullied have their strengths and weaknesses, which I appreciated.  As for the humor, it’s not too bad; I mean I didn’t ROFL, but the jokes weren’t as dirty as I expected with the cast involved.  Overall, I can’t say I exactly recommend this film, but for those who like this type of humor, I guess it’s worth a watch.
