A newly engaged woman plans a party for the parents to meet. What she doesn’t know is that her future in-laws are Mr. and Mrs. Claus. Starring George Wendt, Shelley Long, Lucas Bryant, Kassia Warshawski.
This is another cute Christmas film. I enjoyed the banter between Wendt and Long; after their many years together on Cheers, they have a comfortable rapport with each other. However, Bryant seemed out of place, as the stick in the mud son of his jolly, relaxed parents. Warshawski did a great job as the future daughter in law of the Clauses, trying to figure out how to fit into this unique family dynamic. You will need to suspend belief for this film; it really doesn’t make much sense. However, it is still enjoyable and worth a watch.
