Criminal (2016) Rated R

CriminalTo save a CIA mission, a dead CIA operative’s memories, secrets, and skills are implanted into a death row inmate in hopes that he can complete the mission. Starring Kevin Costner, Gary Oldman, Tommy Lee Jones, Ryan Reynolds, Gal Gadot.

This film is very reminiscent of Self/less, also with Ryan Reynolds. I can’t tell you which is better; they are different in that Reynolds plays the dead man in this film, whereas in Self/less, he is the living man. I did think this film was entertaining, although it failed to explain the reason for the body exchange. Costner convincingly plays the man plagued by the memories and images of the deceased operative; I was intrigued by his internal struggle.  I think this film would make a great series; it is worth a watch.
