The Skeleton Twins (2014) Rated R

the-skeleton-twinsAn estranged set of twins who both cheated death on the same day meet up to repair their relationship. Starring  Bill Hader, Kristen Wiig, Luke Wilson, Ty Burrell.

The two siblings in this film are certainly flawed and quite unusual in their approach to life.  However, their upbringing, although cringe-worthy, does offer insight into their motivations (or lack thereof) and how lost they are.  I know that there are those who can relate to this family, their struggles, and the decisions they make to survive each day, but it is almost unfathomable to me.  What was most unfortunate was the lack of support and guidance these two obviously needed to make it through life. The story is well-done, and the normally comedic actors are great in their mutually depressive roles, but the overall story is so sad and disturbing that I cannot recommend it.  It is a pass.
