Ted (2012) Rated R

tedA man’s wish to make his childhood teddy bear come to life comes true. Now, he must decide between his childhood friend or his girlfriend. Starring Mark Wahlberg, Mila Kunis, Seth MacFarlane, Joel McHale, Giovanni Ribisi, Patrick Warburton.

Although this isn’t typically the kind of film I like to watch, I have to say this film is genius. Of course, there were times I cringed, but the genuinely funny moments outweighed them. Still, I am not sure if this film deserves the accolades it received. It’s a smart film, but if you look past the witty writing, you will see it for what it really is: a movie about a not-so-smart man talking to a stuffed bear. His girlfriend is able to see the light and decides she can do much better. Ted seems like the man’s bad conscience, leading him astray from good choices. This film is worth a watch, but I’m not exactly a fan.
