3 Sailors and a Girl (1953) Rated NR

3-sailors-and-a-girlThree Navy men happen to run into a producer who encourages them to invest in his new show. Once they meet the woman starring in it, they are sold. Based on the play, The Butter and Egg Man by George S. Kaufman. Starring Jane Powell, Gordon MacRae, Gene Nelson.

A fun musical with little substance, this film has great songs and an engaging story line.  There is also a bit of suspense leading up to the production; will it be a flop or a success?  I wasn’t sure how it would go.  Although there isn’t anything particularly noteworthy about it, I still thoroughly enjoyed this film.  It is worth a watch.
