Murder, She Baked: Just Desserts (2017) Rated TV-G

In this film, Hannah investigates the death of a judge for a bake off. Based on the novel Strawberry Shortcake Murder by Joanne Fluke. Starring Alison Sweeney, Cameron Mathison, Barbara Niven.

This is the worst I’ve seen from the Murder She Baked series. The chemistry between Sweeney and Mathison is still there and going strong; I really could see them falling in love, but that is as good as this film gets. The rest is bad writing and bad acting. There were many times when a character said something that fit the scene yet seemed inappropriate for the moment. Due to the fact the Hannah’s romance is blossoming and moving forward, I would have liked the actual story line regarding the murder to be better written and executed. This film is a pass.
