As one who loves romantic comedies, I really wanted to like this film.  Unfortunately, knowing ahead of time that the relationship wouldn’t last put a damper on my enjoyment. Even so, I do commend it for taking a different approach to the romantic comedy formula. The relationship is presented out of sequence, highlighting the ups and downs that so many relationships face. Still, I think that if the characters were willing to put in as much effort as they did, they could have made the relationship work in the long-term. Since they couldn’t, I have to say this film is a pass.
