Eight Crazy Nights (2002) Rated PG-13

An alcoholic with a criminal record is forced to perform community service while coming to terms with his bad habits. Starring Adam Sandler, Jackie Sandler, Austin Stout, Kevin Nealon, Rob Schneider, Jon Lovitz, Tyra Banks.

As a fan of many of Sandler’s films, I was looking forward to this one, but I was not impressed by the gross humor that overran this film. I was hoping for a funny, heartwarming film about Hanukkah, but apart from an explanation of the holiday, there was not a good story line to accompany it. The main character is unlikable, and even an explanation for his behavior failed to endear me to him. This film is a pass.
