The Murder Castle (2017) Rated TV-14

In 1893, Chicago prepares for the World’s Fair. Unbeknownst to the tourists, there is a serial killer in town who disguises his murder castle as a hotel. Starring   Shawn Parr, Hugh Scully

This is an intriguing show which incorporates both reenactments of the murders Dr. H.H. Holmes performed and interviews with historians. It doesn’t follow the full life of Dr. Holmes, but it does hint at him leaving Chicago and going to London, which has led some to believe he became the Jack the Ripper in London. Since this miniseries doesn’t include Holmes’ early life, which may have informed his actions, we cannot know enough about him to understand his actions during the World’s Fair. This makes it just intriguing enough to be worth a watch.
