Waco (Paramount) Rated TV-14

The ATF and FBI standoff with the Branch Davidians in Waco, Texas in 1993. Starring  Michael Shannon, Taylor Kitsch, Julia Garner.

This miniseries covers the standoff of the Branch Davidians against the ATF and the FBI. The miniseries doesn’t really cover the history of David Koresh but it does tell the story of the standoff. The show is brilliant and the acting is amazing with Kitsch portraying David Koresh and Benoist as Rachel, David’s wife, who brings greater understanding to the woman who knew nothing outside of the life she was part of.  The miniseries explores the distorted image Koresh had of God and his misinterpretation of the book of Revelation. I really horrible for all the Branch Davidians who couldn’t discern that he was twisting the Bible to what he wanted to believe rather than the truth. Amazingly, there are still survivors who believe in Koresh’s truth today. This is a miniseries worth a watch.
