On Coney Island in the 1950s, a couple has a visitor who turns their lives upside down. Starring Justin Timberlake, Juno Temple, Robert C. Kirk, Kate Winslet, Jim Belushi.
This film begins in the middle of the story and unfolds to show how the couple’s life together unravels. Director Woody Allen uses color to punctuate the different moments and moods of the story. I found it difficult to follow which emotions the colors were meant to evoke, though. Yellow and grays and various tones confused me. It’s no surprise to see this couple’s relationship implode. This is not one of Allen’s best films; it is a pass.
