The Blacklist (NBC) Rated TV-14

A new FBI profiler is asked to be on a case when a criminal who has been able to avoid the law for years starts asking for her. Starring Diego Klattenhoff, Harry Lennix, James Spader.

This show has a lot of potential. I would have liked it more if it hadn’t been such a rip off of The Silence of the Lambs.  The first episode had a number of loopholes, but I think they will be resolved as the show continues. Spader is the highlight of this show. He’s hit or miss for me, based on the strange roles he chooses, but this is one I really enjoyed. The rest of the cast either underacted or overacted. There is a nice blend of predictability and suspense to keep the audience engaged, though, making this a show to check out.
