Dead Man Down (2013) Rated TV-14

A crime lord’s right-hand man and a woman seek revenge. Starring Colin Farrell, Noomi Rapace, and Terrence Howard.

This film is supposed to be a thriller noir. The film doesn’t know what it is; it flows from being a romance to a thriller and back. As a thriller the pacing of the film is slow. The romantic element is the clinch of the film, but it doesn’t hold out against the film’s thriller aspect. It’s just a mix match of a film. The acting wasn’t too bad, but I did struggle with the chemistry between Farrell and Rapace. There was something about it that just didn’t seem right. Dead Man Down had potential but missed its reason. This film isn’t worth a watch.
