The Fourth Estate (Showtime) Rated TV-14

A documentary follows the New York Times’ coverage of President Trump’s first year in office. Starring Dean Baquet, Maggie Haberman, and Elisabeth Bumiller.

This series shows how the media has become more partisan than unbiased. From the start,  the documentary puts a negative spin on Trump’s speeches and official reports rather than sticking to the facts. The mainstream media complains when they’re called out for not reporting the facts.  Then, they have a President who’s new to politics but knows how to play the media. It also doesn’t help that in this day and age the news needs to be reported ten minutes ago rather than in tomorrow’s paper. This documentary, in my opinion, shows how bad the reporting of real news has become, and it’s not worth a watch.
