For the Love of Music: The Story of Nashville (2013) Rated NR

The history of Nashville is documented from its beginning 130 years ago through its evolution into the Music City it is today. Starring Jessi Alexander, Bill Anderson, and Chet Atkins.

This documentary provides a wonderful glimpse into the history of Nashville, the Music City of the U.S. The filmmakers interviews a number of musicians as they talk about how Nashville became Music City and how musicians from all over come to play in this iconic city. The documentary talks about the fact that it’s not just a hub for country music but a city full of many genres of music. The film only gives you a peek into the history of Music City; it doesn’t provide in-depth coverage. Still, this is one documentary that’s worth a watch.
