Penny Serenade (1941) Rated NR

The ups and downs of life are shown in the marriage of two young people as they begin their life together. Starring Irene Dunne, Cary Grant, and Beulah Bondi.

I loved this movie; I thought it was a great excerpt from life that highlights where your dreams and reality come into play. It also honestly portrays marriage, at least as honest as the filmmakers wanted it to be. The film bounces back and forth between comedy and tragedy. The actors portrayed new parents fabulously. At times, the story seems over the top, but it brings you back to what’s happening between the characters. This movie is still worth a watch.
