The Heat (2013) Rated R

An FBI special agent is partnered with a Boston cop to take down a drug lord. Starring Sandra Bullock, Melissa McCarthy, and Demián Bichir.

There are times that Melissa McCarthy is funny, and I actually do enjoy her performances most of the time. I know that Sandra Bullock does have a comedic bone, but the humor in this film just wasn’t funny. The humor was based on expletives rather than comedic moments. The film is definitely a movie you have seen before; the gags, the story, and the characters are predictable and overused. The script is what sunk this film, but I also wish McCarthy and Bullock had better chemistry together. This film wasn’t worth a watch.
