Skyline (2010) Rated PG-13

Strange lights descend on the city of Los Angeles. People come outside like moths to a flame as Aliens seem to suck the human population out. Starring Eric Balfour, Scottie Thompson, and Brittany Daniel.

This film is one of the worst I have seen. It is poorly written, the acting is horrible, and the story is absurd. The tone of the film doesn’t ever seem to connect. Plus, the ending doesn’t provide much of a conclusion, which makes me think the filmmakers considered it good enough for a sequel. This film isn’t worth a sequel; I barely made it through the first one. Nothing about the aliens is explained, which could be a plus. The movie does have amazing visual effects, but that is the only thing going for it. While it has a number of young actors that would encourage people to watch the film, I would pass. It’s not worth a watch.
